56 Years Ago In 1954 - During two sessions held this day at Muzak Studios in New York City, New York The Boots Mussulli Quartet (Boots Mussulli on alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, and baritone saxophone; Ray Santisi on piano; Max Bennett on bass; and Shelly Manne on drums), using Mussulli's arrangements, record the tracks "Hip Boots" (later retitled "Rubber Boots", "Le Secret", "Four Girls" and "El Morocco" at the first session between 3:00 and 6:00 pm and "Mutt And Jeff", "You Stepped Out Of A Dream", and "Tico Tico" at the second session between 6:30pm and 9:30pm.
