Carole Simpson came on the national music scene in the mid-1950s as a vocalist with the Billy May band. This was followed shortly thereafter, in 1957, with a widely praised debut album, "All About Carole," a release that has mostly stayed in print somewhere in the world ever since it first came out. And while Carole has remained musically active in the ensuing years, “'Live' (and Otherwise)" is only the fourth recording that she has ever released (her second and third album mostly fell beneath radar).
