Irene Reid was a Jazz singer who stretched out her style a bit on The World Needs What I Need. She opens up mostly singing standards such as Moon Dance and My Way, but she does such a good job with her delivery on them that you can’t help but give them a listen. She also throws in a version of Son Of A Preacher Man. On the second side she brings in the Blues with The World Needs What I Need. Reid really puts it all together with the funky Psychdelic Soul of Hey World, Let Love In.
